TEXTILE ART
Textile Art Project – Research and Creation
This project, based on research and creation, began with small experimental yarn samples (45×45 cm), through which I explored the potential of color on texture. Over time, the prototypes developed into a more articulated research that combines chromatic analysis and textile craftsmanship, investigating how color combinations defined on paper can be translated into weaves, yarns, and textures through weaving and tufting techniques. The work included the selection of fine yarns — merino wool, cashmere, and silk — and experimentation with different surface variations, in order to test the visual and tactile impact of chromatic compositions in their material application. The research on yarns and color is still ongoing; an initial synthesis will be presented with Zones d’ambiguïté at the XV Florence Biennale (October 2025). This work embodies years of experimentation and consolidates the dialogue between visual art, artisanal techniques, and perceptual inclusion, particularly through the integration of Color Vision Deficiency (CVD).

ILLUSTRATIONS
This section brings together works developed from hand drawing. Character design is studied on paper through storyboards, which define expressions, postures, and narrative dynamics. Most of the illustrations do not include text : communication takes place entirely through the image. The process begins with hand drawing in pencil and black ink on paper, enriched by inspirational sketches in watercolor and Pantone markers, and then moves to digital, where the works are completed and refined while preserving the strength and gesture of the manual line.

PAINTINGS & MIXED MEDIA
Since 1990, this section of my practice has explored color as gesture, structure, and memory. The works, shaped by the light of Italy, the urban rhythm of Montréal, and the landscapes I have encountered, originate from paper studies and chromatic explorations that interact with surfaces.
I use watercolor, ink, oil, acrylic, and natural pigments (turmeric, coffee, saffron), combined with diverse materials to investigate color perception through texture, transparency, and layering.
The supports — paper, canvas, plaster, and mixed media — allow color to express its dual nature, both sensory and structural, in a language that reflects the influence of places and lived experiences.
