Zone Ambiguite Protanopia

Presented in the Fiber Art section of the XV Florence Biennale (October 18–26, 2025), Zones d’ambiguïté – Colour and Altered Perception through Paper and Textile is a work developed from chromatic studies on Japanese paper.
The piece is made with Tollegno 1900 yarns in extra-fine merinos wool, cashmere, and silk processed in Italy, through weaving on a cotton canvas base.
The project investigates the translation of chromatic language from a two-dimensional medium to a textile material, through the dialogue between design, color composition, and artisanal processes.
The work is part of a research project focused on Color Vision Deficiency (CVD), aimed at assessing the legibility and perceptual coherence of chromatic combinations under altered visual conditions.
